Nashville
Zoo offers many animal species, the Jungle Gym, the
country's largest community-built playground, the
Grassmere Historic Farm, the beautiful Unseen New
World exhibit, exciting animal shows, educational
programs and much more. Grassmere is about 20mi south
of downtown Nashville off I-24. The Nashville Wildlife
Park at Grassmere is a 'walk-through' park where visitors
might catch a glimpse of cougars, black bears or gray
wolves.
The Nashville Zoo is in the Grassmere grounds and
houses leopards, lions, white tigers, giraffes and
red pandas. Nashville Zoo also has many animal species
including cheetah, zebra, ostrich, gibbons, hyacinth
macaw and more.
The Zoo's educational amphitheater and African Savannah
viewing deck offer special entertainment for the entire
family. The Nashville Zoo also provides a petting-area,
exciting animal shows educational programs and more.
The Safari Gift Shop for souvenirs has a wide variety
of things to please the shoppers. Cheeseburger Charlie’s
Safari Grill offers everything from humburgers, hotdogs,
french fries, to ice cream and cold & hot beverages.
